BMC Service Bulletin - Direction Indicator Switch Failures (Sprites)

Attached is an original service bulletin from BMC Australia. The text of the bulletin is as follows.

DIRECTION INDICATOR SWITCH FAILURES

The return spring has been redesigned and made from an improved material, but there is no change in Part No.

Only switches with this new spring will be available in Service. They may be identified by the moulding variations shown at 'X' and 'Y', and are freely interchangeable with the previous types.

Prior to MGB Car No. 20023, the existing trip stud and locknut should be discarded, the new stud AHH 7269 and spring washer LWZ 203 being fitted in their place.

If this does not cancel the switch effectively in each direction, plain washer PWZ 103 may be fitted to raise the height of the stud slightly.
